July 1, 2013 — 4 Comments

Hello everyone (all two of you) who follows my blog!

I have some really sweet (no bitterness here) news. As of today, this blog will be no more. I know this can seem sad for some, but please let me tell you why I am so excited about this.

I will be taking my blog posts over to (the NEW blog on Please go and check out this amazing new site! I will still be posting as much as I have been on this blog (3-4 times a week), just with some of my heroes in youth ministry.

Why is this a good thing? Well I was super excited when Josh Griffin (, Doug Fields wrote a great article HERE on why Josh is leaving) asked if I would join him in the blog world to combine blogs! I will be joining the writers of More Than Dodgeball, Josh Griffin, Matt McGill, and Doug Fields on the newly remodeled, newly designed, with new products and amazing youth ministry minds on the new site.

This site will have:

  • blog posts from some amazing ministry minds
  • trench tested, cheap, quality youth ministry resources
  • a youth ministry pod-cast
  • and much more

So head on over to that site and continue to follow my blog posts and thought in youth ministry over there! Thank you for following my blog and making this place a great place to talk, think, and converse about ministry and our lives. Excited to continue our talks over on this new site!

really excited for all of this. Great folks to be with. Looking forward to seeing how DYM will continue to serve the church. Glad you’re on board with doug/josh/matt.

    First of all, thank you.
Thank you for investing in youth through youth-ministers, by blogging about your experiences on Justin Knowles.

Please know how incredible this is. And be encouraged to keep going.

I hope and pray that even more youth-pastors will be inspired, find solutions to their struggles, will be encouraged not to stop serving, and be inspired to grow their gifts.

We recognize that these are incredible times to live in, where technology allows youth-pastors around the world to encourage each other. As for ourselves, we use technology to reach out to youth globally as well.

For the past five years, we’ve been developing the world’s first videogame that takes kids through the Bible from beginning to end. Our hope is to increase the love for God’s Word amongst kids.

We dream to see kids go through the Bible together, having fun as they become part of David’s army, spend time in the fish as Jonah, and play level after level, leading up to Jesus’ death and resurrection.

In order to steward this immense project well, we’re building relationships with youths pastors like you. We like to ask your input by allowing you to look behind the scenes, have your kids/families play demo game levels before they go public, etc. You may also recommend a few people you think would be of interest.

Additionally, we can provide you with plenty of interesting “blog-food” (concept art, images, etc) if you feel that this could benefit your subscribers.
